Making Gadgets Yours – Dell’s Make It Yours VOTE NOW!

It is common for people to want to customize their gadgets and make it their own style. No one wants the boring black notebook anymore. This is the direction that many electronic companies are heading towards: to enable consumers to customize the look of their favorite gadgets. I was browsing through Dell’s latest range of designs available to customize your laptop, and guess what!!! There’s a new series of laptop skin design by OPI! Wow. I’m sure many girls out there love to use OPI nail polish, including myself!

I really like the “Happy Anniversary!” shade because it’s pearly white just like my car! Although, the OPI collection that I have consists of mostly dark red shades, I think a pearly white laptop skin is cool. We all know which skin Sab would pick…. The “Princess Rule!” skin is definitely something Sab would love to have on her gadgets! Her love for “princess” and pink gadgets is so infamous, she even bought a pink camera bag online for her DSLR. I’m just surprised she’s not driving a pink car

The designs are available for Dell’s range of Studio 15 laptops which ranges from S$1599 to S$2099. The most expensive laptop uses the latest Intel® Core™ i7 processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB hard disk, 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 and Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit. With such an awesome specs for a 15inch laptop, Dell’s prices are very competitive for high performance laptops.

Recently, Dell held a contest called “MAKE IT YOURS” where contestants get to submit their designs for a chance to win S$2500! Wow. Too bad I don’t really have the time to design something cool for the contest (it’s really because I don’t have the skills to!)

I browsed through some of the designs submitted and I felt relieved that I didn’t make a fool of myself submitting some random Photoshopped shapes! Many submissions were creative and some were even hand drawn. My favourite submissions would have to be…

My god, and I thought no one loves flaming people more than I. Me, The Dramatic flaming blogger that passionately blog about things I strongly believe and/or feel for.

Sad to say, that very blog post came with a price.

When one reads about a topic that you cannot stomach, let’s say ‘Homosexuals are morons/bastards/filth of society‘ or ‘You should opt out donating your organs when you die‘ or ‘Your mother is a bitch‘, you naturally get agitated and want to fight back.

Painful lessons learnt from the after effect of blogging your thoughts:

1. Standing for what you believe in is not a virtue if its against other’s believes.

2. Freedom of speech is more important than gay bashing. (to some people)

Speaking of which, even though I’m in the Ping.sg committee, I’ve been super impartial…. I’m so impartial that SHADOWFOX GOT NOMINATED IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS ME! OMG!

That gay-basher sure doesn’t deserve a spot there, right beside my nomination! There’s nothing controversial about gay-bashing, except, if he gets jailed for doing so. Hurling hurtful comments and cursing a particular group of people doesn’t mean you’re controversial, it just means you’re plain mean! Sadly, my controversial blog post on banning Shadowfox is all about alienating gay-bashers, race-bashers, women-bashers. Yes, if you read shadowfox’s blog he often uses degrading labels at women.

Some people commented before “So Priss, how do I vote to ban shadowfox from Ping.sg? Where’s the poll?”

I have 2 other un-published blog posts and 1 deleted blog post that I do not intend to post. Although I wouldn’t be living up to my name of Most Controversial blog post nominee, sticking my foot into this pile of mud/shit will not help the situation. Ping.sg is a place to read other Singaporean blogs, let others read your thoughts, make new friends, attend events and meet people with similar interest as you – blogging…. sad . I just hope this fire will die down soon
