If we want someone to represent Singapore, wouldn’t it be representative of Singaporeans to support the person who is going instead of showing the world how “ugly” we are?  Singapore has represented itself today, not Ris Low, that we are a bunch of unforgiving and cruel hypocrites that can’t accept people for who they are. Many people, people around you and me, suffers from mental disorders. If you don’t agree to that sentence, then those people were probably too ashamed to tell you of it since you’re such an unforgiving asswipe.

Her bipolar and criminal behavior aside, I have to agree though that her English was atrocious. In my opinion, Ris Low looks like just another pretty faced ahlian and Pilar Arland definitely looks more sophisticated and classy. Pilar Arland came in second runner-up and she will be representing Singapore instead. Just remember though, Pilar Arland is not perfect as well. Well, simply because no one is.

Although I am against filtering of information on the internet, I don’t blame Malaysian government’s move. I mean who would want to air their dirty laundry in public? Usually, I am directed to the site when there are juicy scandals, sex scandals mostly. But Gutterpost has the most comprehensive collection of sex scandal pictures, including reports, insider’s information, and other interesting information not of use to me. It’s like the best and most popular internet tabloid site ever! Listed on Alexa as Singapore’s TOP blog, as well as Blogger’s TOP blogging site, it would be a mistake if Blogger were to terminate Gutterpost’s account!

Daphne Ang, featured on Gutterpost a while back, nude acrobatic pictures O_O Shocking.

I’m going to be somewhat a hypocrite here and say.. I don’t support Gutterpost’s distribution of private and personal information and pictures, who knows, some day you or I might end up on Gutterpost! That thought scares me. On the other hand, it is a very informative (in some perverted ways) and interesting site to visit OCCASIONALLY. Do everything with moderation k! *stares at friend that is frequent visitor of Gutterpost*

Don’t tell me Singapore police/government finally did something, and appealed to Blogger to bring the site down?

This is what I find disgusting and truly “Singapore Seen”: STOMP.

The person who submitted the article claimed that she was disgusted at this pair of teen couple making out at a carpark, but the person does not find it too disgusting to stay around to watch, take pictures and perhaps video, and post it online for everyone else to witness.

This person has the cheek to remark “It’s so disgusting! What if kids were to see them?”

WTH??!! If it’s so disgusting then DON’T LOOK AT THEM! Who do you think read STOMP scandal heartlander news? You found the couple to be disgusting and unsuitable for children to see, but yet you upload it to the internet where EVERYONE and ANYONE can see?! What a hypocrite!!!! Who do you think are reading STOMP? I’m sure the demographics would show MANY KIDS are reading STOMP.

STOMP should really consider if this is the direction to go: to be the online version of Wan Bao 晚报 posting all scandalous and disturbing images on the internet. Furthermore, what if the two KIDS on the pictures were identified and humiliated? Have anyone even consider this??

It’s my misfortune to have stumbled upon a site that posted up the link to STOMP’s stupid article, but I feel STOMP should review the direction in which their online portal is heading towards. How far is too far?

Seriously?

I’m not sure if these girls are above 16 years old…. but we’re Asians! We’re small, thin, petite, even though I’m not. We’re generally of a smaller built! The Chinese girls are about 1.5m and 35kgs, which is actually not very rare for Asian women. The Americans are about 1.58m and 43kgs, which is roughly the average weight of my female friends. Heck, I know guys as thin as that. To be a gymnast, you’ve got to be small and agile, and is it surprising that a small Asian is smaller than a small American?

Look, I wear Large or X-Large sized clothes in Asian countries, but I’m a Medium or sometimes even a Small when I shop in countries with a dominant population of Caucasians. When I was a teenager, I had a secret desire to go for boob job to make them smaller just so I can fit into those pretty small little clothes from Far East Plaza. Whatever. Asians in general are less curvy than westerners, and they biologically smaller in size la.

China’s coach gave a very good rebuttal…

These people should stop speculating and just go find evidence of the underage China gymnasts. Although I won’t be surprised if they find that they are really underage, just like how we aren’t surprise many of the top athletes takes drug or cheat in whatever way possible.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with behaving like an aunty – if you’re over 40years old, with kids, possibly retired or a housewife, likes hanging out with other women like yourself in your neighbourhood market place or hang-outs like kopitiams, playgrounds, supermarket… I’ve got lots of respect for such “aunties” because they are your mothers, relatives (real aunts), your retired teacher… and basically your average elderly women.

I’m sorry that I have an urge to blog about Singapore’s favourite drama – Xiaxue versus Dawn Yang. I can’t help it, simply, because, I overheard other e-aunties blogging about this.

So what do you do when you overhear a juicy piece of scandal, drama, gossip? You pass it on like a hot potato!

Yes! We have to keep blogging about how these scandals are so scandalous. “Aiyoh… how… Xiaxue might get sued leh!”, “So that Dawn Yang really very fake ah?”, “Actually both these siao char bohs equally fake lar!”.

Damn right they are fake. It’s a BLOG for goodness sake.

I’ve also noticed the increase in number of Pings and Pongs in Ping.sg, a locally based blog aggregator… wonder whyyy…

This Ping Market seems to be attracting more aunties to our big gossip mongering family! Ah, the last time we had such a big party was during the Edison Chen sex scandal. Remember that (lots of traffic!)?

While you’re here in this bustling market, feel free to buy some fish or vegetables. Or, you could even dig out some old rumours about Jean and her molestation blogpost gone wrong!

Ah. Don’t we all love scandals and gossips.

Some people feels that if you accept any money, that you owe something to them, it’s called fair trade? How about when people are donating for charity? Do they expect the poor and the sick to be indebted to them and owe them something?

I had a friend who had a crazy boyfriend, and when they broke up, he went insane(er) and even tried to stalk her. One night she was out with me and we were going to go clubbing to celebrate her ditching the loser. Lo and behold, the creep was stalking us! I confronted him and asked him to go away and stop following her but instead, he shouted in my face vulgarities and disgusting words. Luckily my friend pushed him away or he would have hit me. The next thing to do was of course to get as far away from him as possible, so we hurled a taxi. That creep took another taxi and followed behind us! So I told the taxi to drive us to the nearest police station.

The police took the two of them to separate rooms and questioned the both of them.

That creep had the balls to say that my friend owes him money and so he’s following her! During their 1year+ relationship, he had offered to subsidies some of her handphone bills, some of her school fees and also gave her a set of jeweleries that probably cost thousands of dollars. Now that things gone sour, he wants it all back! The best part was, my friend was actually paying him back small amounts of money every month as she felt bad back then.

After this police case, she felt stupid and cheated by this man. But you can’t give things away and ask back for them when you feel like it! Like that, I don’t dare to receive any more presents even on my birthday

The best part is, stalking is not under the police’s jurisdiction, not even if the man stalked us all the way to the police station. We have to seek legal help to sue him and get a restraining order. So unless this creep decides to rape/ murder/ rob/ steal from her, the police can’t do anything to stop him from stalking her!

Honestly, she felt that the police officers are siding his side of the story, that she owes him the money. Perhaps she was a little sensitive about what the police officers told her. But imagine a helpless girl getting stalked by an ex-boyfriend with a history of abusing her verbally and sometimes even physically!

Thank God that story ended well. She’s now happily married with another man.

As for Jean, if you actually get to know her, you know that whatever names people are hurling at her are not true. It’s not that hard for you strangers to imagine what it is like if your loved ones were in her shoes. If it was your sister, or a dear friend, who got taken advantage of and in the process of trying to get justice, face with crowds of strangers screaming for her head, I’m sure you will be defending her and not yelling at her. I’m not asking you to pity her plight, but at least be kinder with your words or just keep quiet if you don’t have anything constructive to say.

*Note: the story about my friend happened many years ago and I wrote as best as I can recall the incident.

Lately, there have been quite a few scandals and criticisms on what is posted on people’s personal blogs. Yes, a blog is a medium whereby ‘commoners’ like me and you can act out our inner fantasies of being a journalist or even a tabloid magazine writer, or perhaps to an extend, an online biography of yourself But blogging about your family or your work or even friends is just plain insensitive and inconsiderate.

Why people shouldn’t blog about their work:

1. Blogging ANYTHING that casts your company in a bad light is disloyal and to a more serious extent, treacherous.

2. Blogging about your clients/customers is very unprofessional.

3. Blogging about your co-workers is worse than point 2, because you never know who’s reading your blog. Creating more backstabbing publicly would cause more unhappiness at work and possibly affect the morale of your colleagues. Not to mention, no one would trust you with their secrets at work incase you blog about it.

4. Blogging about your boss is simply stupid. Your boss should fire you for that.

5. Disclosing private and confidential information about your clients, co-workers, boss, HR, cleaning aunty, is simply rude and disloyal.

6. Disclosing your companies’ secrets should/might warrant you a lawsuit.

If you really need an outlet to relief your stress, work place gossips, complaints… go whine at your girlfriend/ boyfriend/ teddy bear. Don’t wash your dirty laundry in public and risk getting sacked, in other words, don’t be stupid.
