She claims she has known about the affair for a year and still forgives him.. I suppose that’s what most traditional Asian families do, so as long as the men are bringing in the dough, they just STFU.

I sometimes wonder if these women stay on in their marriage just for their husband’s fame and money. Perhaps in the Asian context, it’s for their pride and children as well. Either way, when a spouse cheats on his/her family, the children suffers the most.

I don’t really have much to buy for this IT show and the crowd is expected to be… well… really CROWDED! The IT Show 2010 will be occupying level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 of Suntec Converntion hall and judging from past experiences, parking will be really bad. My favourite tower defense game so far has got to be Fieldrunners. The game is very dynamic and the basic map is just a plain field for you to place your “towers” so you can defend your castle from being invaded. Sort of.

Well, for Plant vs Zombie, while I have downloaded the game and paid $2.99 for it, I bought it knowing it’s going to be an awesome game. If you like simple puzzle games, or dynamic tower defense games, you’ll definitely love PvZ for iPhone!

The game concept is simple, the gameplay is fun and simple (for dummies), each game level is short but the upgrades are plenty. Basically, just go download it and you won’t regret it! The music for this mini game is very well selected, graphics are really cute, even the naming of the plants are creative. The creators of Plants versus Zombies really put in effort and creative juice into making this a simple and yet entertaining game. Trust me, I spent hours everynight for 2 weeks playing this game on my computer. Which is really rare since I’m more of an “online gamer”, playing more MMORPGs and online team based FPS games.

I can’t wait to get started building my awesome garden of plants attacking zombies that are trying to destroy my house!

There were a few booths at the party including a hair spray booth and air brush tattoo.I did my hair orange and pink strips for FREE! and had the City Alive’s logo tattooed on my arm. Sorry I didn’t had any pictures of that, but trust me, it was so cool. There were many dancers strutting their stuff as well as Japanese and Singaporean B-boys performing in the middle of the dance area. It was quite crowded so we could only catch their performance via live video screening.

It was definitely an awesome event to attend after the Chingay, and I knew a few party goers that bought tickets to City Alive straight after Chingay. Next time, buy your City Alive tickets beforehand since it is more expensive at the door!

I was surprised at the overwhelming response to viewing the unopened resort and theme park, but perhaps not so since many were eager to view Singapore’s casino. Singaporeans visiting the casino would have to pay $100 per 24 hours umnlimited entrace into the casino but that did not deter gambling hungry and curious visitors. The casino area was completely packed!

The rides and entertainment areas seems promising. To be honest, I think it’s definitely a better theme park than disney land in Hongkong! I can’t wait for the rollercoasters to be opened! That’s right, there’s 2 Battlestar Galactica themed roller coasters - the human and cylons!

Food in the theme park were reasonably priced with many variety of food to pick from under $10 budget. I guess the most expensive part of the trip was the parking. Parking at most hotel resorts in Sentosa’s casino and theme park area is $7 for 1st hour and $2 every hour thereafter.

I had a great time at Universal Studio’s soft launch and I really can’t wait for the theme park to be fully operational!

As for the rest of their concerns, if you aren’t happy with the way the blocks are maintained then complain to HDB to be stricter with the rules, you can’t ask HDB to stop building rental flats near your house?! How does that even make sense?

You know in the same way these “HDB people” look down on “rental flat people”, many “Condominium people” also look down on you guys! Shocking news? Things I’ve heard the “Condominium people” say is that HDBs have no facilities, no security guards, dirty, rubbish bin stinks at the lobby, spoilt bicycle and junk littered everywhere. So go ahead “HDB people”, go look down on those “rental flat people”… Just know that you are judged as well by the private property people as well.

Do these people even think before they speak? Do they really want to segregate Singapore’s property into different Socioeconomic classes? If you don’t want to live beside rental flats, then go work harder earn more money and move to “better” neighborhoods! Money can’t buy everything, but if you don’t have money then stop complaining about people that are poorer than you! If you have money, then go hire people to help you complain instead

This year’s City Alive! 2010 will be held at Pit Building, where we will be able to catch the backdrop of the Singapore Flyer. Space Cowboy (United Kingdom) will be making his debut appearance in Singapore at the City Alive! 2010, along with other international acts like DJ Sarasa (Japan) and All Area Crew (Japan), as well as local artists such as DJ Andrew T, DJ Inquisitive and Singapore top B-boys, Radikal Forze.

A review I read from PC World some reasons to buy or not to buy the iPad.

Reasons to Buy:

1. Undeniably cool. The iPad looks like a giant iPod and the look supersizes quite nicely.

2. The best e-reader? The iPad is already generating comments that it will be a Kindle-beater and Nook-destroyer. The 16 GB $499 model may not be good for carrying around lots of movies and music, but it should hold a lot of books. I want to hear more about the hands-on reading experience, but early word is the iPad is an excellent place to enjoy a good book. Or a textbook, which is a huge potential market for the device.

3. Gaming. The iPhone became a surprise hit among gamers, or at least expanded the market to include lots of previous non-gamers (such as myself). Either way, the iPad is optimized to improve the iPhone gaming experience, allowing new elements to be added to games that can be played on both the iPhone/iPod touch and the new iPad.

4. The iPad makes it easy to share media. Not for a whole room, but you and a friend or two should be able to watch movies, listen to music, or pass the iPad back-and-forth for games. It’s just the right size for sharing up-close and the lack of a keyboard makes the iPad easier to handle than a notebook.

5. Applications. With all the above going for it, the iPad almost doesn’t have to do things like Web surfing and e-mail checking or document writing. But, it does them all and runs 140,000 iPhone apps besides. Sure, the best apps will be specially-written for the iPad, but you can use iPhone/iPod touch favorites right away.

6. Time may be on your side. The iPad may become much more compelling–thanks to new apps–between now and its March/April ship dates.

Reasons to Hold Off:

1. There is no subsidy on the 3G version. Apple wants you to pay $829 for the 64GB device, plus monthly wireless fees for AT&T’s 3G. The first year total: $1,189.

2. The wrong screen. It’s not clear why Apple didn’t choose a 16:9 aspect ratio, the standard for widescreen entertainment, but not doing so makes the iPad much less interesting for watching movies.

3. It’s not much of a work machine. New applications may hammer away at the iPad’s limitations, but the truth is that a notebook or netbook or even (in many circumstances) an iPhone is much more useful. Maybe it isn’t even fair to ask a device so well-tuned for entertainment to work at the office too, but Apple is promoting the iPad as a work tool. And right now, I have to respond, “No” in most circumstances.

4. If you don’t need all the other features, a Kindle or Nook offer better battery life for e-reading, but lack the color screen.

5. The iPad is a “tweener,” in the bad sense of the word. Not a computer, but not a smartphone, the iPad lacks the functionality of a notebook and the convenience of an iPhone or Droid. The iPad may be just one more thing to haul around if you already carry a notebook, which it doesn’t come close to replacing.

6. By the time the iPad ships, the excitement may be over. Perhaps helping lots of people save money.

There are many more reasons, both pro and con, regarding an iPad purchase but the best one may be the simplest: You’ve either got to have one (and have the spare cash) or the iPad doesn’t do much for you.

Since it won’t be available until March or April (for the 3G models), you have lots of time to change your mind. And for the initial excitement to wear off.
