Diablo 3 guide for Gems and Banners are targeted mainly for the female gamers and metrosexuals. Why? Because besides fighting monsters and levelling, we want to look good doing it too! So if you want to impress a girl in Diablo 3, SIZE DOES MATTERS! Get the biggest gem stone you can that is suitable for her class and you will definitely impress her! For me, since I am playing Wizard class which needs a lot of Intelligence, get me a big Radiant Start Topaz so I’ll send you lots of e-kisses! *muacks*

I will be posting up some high level gears as I get higher level to show off my pretty armors and weapons, but now let’s take a look at Diablo 3 Banners and Sigils!

The banner can be edited when you first login your account and you can select your hero, behind your is the banner, click on it.

When you are in game, you can press G to plant your banner in the game field. That is for your team mates to locate you easier. When you are in a party, you will also see your team mates banners in town and you can click on it to teleport to their location. It is OBVIOUSLY important to have a nice banner!

Here’s mine:

After ACT II, you will be able to craft jewellery at the shop of Jeweler by combining lower level gem stones into better ones that gives better bonuses to items that you socket. So for example if you have Chipped Emerald, you can combine 3 of them into an Flawed Emerald.

Diablo 3 Beginners Guide

This is a basic Diablo 3 guide for beginners. I have tried all the classes in closed beta, but I am currently only playing Wizard in Diablo 3 full game, hence many of the information below will be based off my experience playing Wizard.

Those who saw Blizzard’s recent news about simplifying tool tips (or who have played World of Warcraft) will recognise this approach to design. Initially you’ll left click your mouse to move to a location, open, loot, attack, smash, select. Right click can be assigned to your first skill. Further skills go on the hot bar (number keys 1 – 6). You can customise some of your keybinds (when an action is bound to one key) in the options menu.

If you are using a range attack (Wizard, witch doctor etc.), you should hold down your SHIFT button so that your character will stand in position while you are shooting at the monsters at a distance. Wizard’s AOE (Area of Effect) damages are really awesome! So stand far away, left and right click at the monsters, so you won’t sustain any injuries.

As most people know, the greatest aim of Diablo games are to find the best weapons in the server! It’s got to do with showing off your e-penis I suspect, but it’s fun! So try to find items with some additional magic find attributes. Most of my items, as a Wizard, have Intelligence and Magic Find attributes in them.

If you pick up any uncommon items (name tag shows blue in colour), do not sell it away! You can forge it at the Blacksmith in New Tristram and collect raw materials.

Every Diablo III character you create will have access to the blacksmithing and jewelcrafting professions. These professions, once unlocked via story progression in game, are not leveled by crafting items. Instead, you simply invest gold to advance in skill and learn how to make more things. The vast majority of craftable items are learned automatically, but several items (most notably the ones at level cap) can only be learned via plans, which are random, rare drops. All unlocks are done at the account level, thankfully, so all your characters can contribute to leveling your crafter of choice.

The blacksmith allows you to make weapons and armor. Leveling the blacksmith is a step-wise process; instead of paying a flat fee, you play a smaller amount to increase his XP by 20% and unlock a few additional recipes at a similar level to the other items. This repeats four times; then a fifth payment jumps you to the next level and makes available a new tier of items to craft. For example, the blacksmith starts with five apprentice-level crafts available; each investment of 2,000 gold adds two more apprentice-level recipes and 20% to your XP bar. Once you’ve invested 10,000 gold, you reach level 2 and can start creating journeyman-level items, which require a higher level to wield.

The blacksmith can be leveled to 10, but the costs become very high around level 5. At this level, each 20% gain begins requiring several Pages of Blacksmithing, which are, you guessed it, random, rare drops.

Of course, once you’ve leveled the blacksmith and learned the appropriate recipe, you still need to gather the materials to craft the item you want. All crafting materials are found by salvaging (read: disenchanting) other magical items. This essentially gives you another chance at good gear. Even if you don’t get a good weapon drop, simply salvage all the bad weapons and have the blacksmith craft you one! Of course, some of the magical bonuses on the crafted weapons are random as well, so it may takes several crafts to come up with a good combo.

The jewel crafter is a simpler fellow. Instead of creating new items for you, he simply enhances. He can add gem sockets to your armor, combine your gems to make them stronger, or remove gems from sockets so they can be reused. Leveling him is much easier and cheaper than the blacksmith, as no step-wise function exists here. A simple flat fee (and later, some Pages of Jewelcrafting) will step your JC to the next level and unlock the next level of gem combinations.

Some quick AH/RMAH facts and warnings:

The auction house doesn’t go live until a week after launch, so scrap any plans for playing nonstop for three days, selling all your stuff, and retiring a rich man. Actually, I’d scrap any plans about making lots of money off the AH in general. The large AH means lots of sellers driving down demand, and the marked adjusting quickly to price inequities.

Items and commodities (gold, crafting mats, etc) are the two categories of sales on both the gold AH and RMAH. On the gold AH, 15% is deducted from each sale as Blizzard’s cut (which is significantly higher than WoW’s 5%, though there are no listing fees here). On the RMAH, commodities keep the 15% fee, but items now have a per-item fee ($1 in the United States; for other regions, check here).

Whenever you sell an item on the RMAH, you must select whether the proceeds go into your Battle.net balance or a third-party payment provider (PayPal). If you choose PayPal, they will charge an additional 15% on top of Blizzard’s 15% or per-item fee.

Currently, Battle.net balance can not be used to pay for WoW game time or anything sold in the Blizzard Store. It can be used to pay for WoW services (faction change, etc.) and licenses/upgrades for other Blizzard games. It will likely be able to be used to pay for a Mists of Pandaria upgrade, but that has not been officially confirmed. For exact details on what the B.Net balance can be used for, check the FAQ.

Item Types (Quality)

The quality or type of an item in Diablo 3 is the most similar aspect of itemization in Diablo 3 in comparison to Diablo 2. Here is a run down of how this works:

Inferior – Items with a gray color nameplate are inferior and are not not even worth picking up. They usually have some sort of debuff which makes them worthless.

Normal – Items with a white nameplate are of normal quality. You might use one of these for the first 30 minutes of gameplay if the stats are good.

Superior – Items with a white nameplate that have a prefix like “Balanced” or “Masterwork” are of superior quality. These weapons can actually be decent for the first few acts of normal mode if you find a high-tier item with a good roll. Fast weapons with the “Balanced” prefix can actually be quite valuable as they make good off-hand weapons.

Uncommon – Items with a blue nameplate are of uncommon quality. These have 1-3 magic bonuses, depending on your luck and the item slot. If you get a “perfect roll” with these (i.e. the max possible primary stat (i.e. strength, dexterity, etc), Vitality, and Magic Find on a helmet), these can have quite a bit of value. If you play within the first month or so around release, blue items will make up the bulk of your leveling equipment.

Rare – Items with a yellow nameplate are of rare quality. Rare items are just like magic items except they have 4-6 bonuses instead of just 1-3. Rare items can easily be worse (and frequently are) than blue items of the same tier. For example, imagine you have one uncommon and one rare Broadsword. If the uncommon one has +5% increased attack speed and the max possible bonus damage, it is going to be a lot better than a rare Broadsword which has +radius on health globes, less damage, less increased attack speed, and a small amount of a primary stat your class does not use. Don’t be blinded by the rare nameplate, as most rare items are no better than uncommon ones. When you do find a rare item with multiple good stats, it can be worth a fortune.

Set – Items with a green nameplate are set pieces. Set pieces are items which give players a bonus when they equip multiple items from the same set. These items have pre-determined stats, though sometimes they are on a range. For example, if a weapon in a set has +Damage, +Attack Speed, +Health Drain, and +Strength, every weapon in that set will have those same 4 stats.However, there could be a range such that a set item could be anywhere from +20 to +80 damage or +20 to +80 strength. “Perfect” items in sets like this are much more valuable than imperfect items. Often, individual pieces of a set are much more valuable than other pieces of the set. Most items in a set are valuable not because they provide set bonuses but because the stats of the individual pieces are good.

Legendary – Legendary items are items with an orange nameplate. These items have pre-set stat allotments (some with ranges) much like set pieces. However, since Legendary items do not provide set bonuses, they tend to have even better stats than set pieces (though there are exceptions to the rule). Legendary items are likely to be the “best in slot” item for a lot of your character’s item slots. These are the “Uniques” of Diablo 2.

Diablo 3 errors and problems

After playing 6 hours of Diablo 3 straight, my game hung and crashed and I received the error code 317002. I was really panicking and wondering what was going on, until I found this on the forum:

10: 22 a.m. PDT- We are in the process of performing an emergency maintenance for all Diablo III servers to resolve several issues that are currently impacting the game. This maintenance may cause some interruption in communication, ability to log in, use of in-game features, and disconnections. We anticipate all servers will be available for play in approximately 1 hour.

Thank you for your patience.

Sigh! I guess it’s a good time for me to go to bed. My Wizard is now level 13! Hopefully the servers will be more stable tomorrow and have less maintenance!!!

Here is a list of known errors and bugs for the Diablo III release version including login issues, and how to fix (bypass) them. Diablo III release Error number: 12, 37, 315300, 3005/3003, 3006, 300008, 3004. Basically for Europe players, change to US region in your battle.net account and u will get this error and maybe with luck you can get into the game. Remember its a stress test, to stress the servers, so there is no guarantee of gameplay.

The Diablo 3 release has begun and we’ve been extremely successful in that we’ve already managed to break a few things. Here is some works around for stability and service issues, and until it’s resolved you will likely see an Error 37 when attempting to log in.

This is an error we’re still investigating, but should only be appearing for Korean accounts which are not able to participate in the release. If you do not have a Korean account, we’re still investigating this issue but suspect it may simply be due to the Battle.net Account services being slammed by the high volume of traffic or a communication issue between the game and account services. (account doesn’t have Diablo III attached to it.)

Bashiok: Cool! Error 12 is fixed by changing your password. If you’re seeing Error 37 it just means the servers are full right now. Keep trying! Make sure to choice US region also, and update your battleTag / RealID.

Error 31500 – (account name or password incorrect)

Error 315300 – Your account name or password are incorrect. Please try again. (ERROR_315300)

Possible Fix – changing email and/or password several times on battle.net

- try to login with totaly wrong email/pw

- delete the “Battle.net” and/or “Blizzard Entertainment” folder

- granting full permission for the “Blizzard Enterteinment” folder to my account

There is a fix for these errors 3003 & 3005 by changing region to USA.

Error 3003 – Click Options, under Account change your region to The Americas. The open beta is only being held on US hardware (Us Servers)

Error 3005 – Player has been disconnected (Error 3005) (Europe servers)

All these errors are in same family Error 33, 35 & 37 and mainly to server is busy, means the server is full. There is no fix, keep trying to login, is the only fix here.

Error 33 – Battle.net maintenance

Error 35 – Please try again later. Server busy.

Error 37 – The servers are busy right now. Please try again later. (Error 37)

Error 75 – When changing to US region in battle.net Try again.

Error 307- The servers are busy at this time, please try again later (error 307)

Mostly crash issues, fixes: try to login again.

Error 24000 – Character cannot be created. Issues with character creation.

Error 82 – The client does not match the account’s native language. Please use the game’s original client. (Error_82)”.Russia Only)

Error 316921 – this player does not have valid diablo III profile.

ERROR 317002 – Ingame specific error client crash on kill.

Error 24100 (The game servers are currently busy. Please try again later)

These errors are in game specific after you logged into battle.net account and server but cannot get into ingame. Keep trying to login is the only fix currently.

Error 3006 Connection time out. Game creation Issue. Try again.

Error 300008 Connection Timeout while creating a new game. (Cannot Start Game)

Error 3004 – Creating a game or join game error 3004. No quest available in level range.

Error BLZAPPBTS00002 cannot connect to patching service.

Gray login button – You need to use your Battle.net email address as your account name. Your BattleTag is a nickname, not your account name.

Diablo 3 Launch Singapore

Diablo 3 will be launching in a few hours time, 1500 hrs GMT+8 Diablo 3 servers will be opened! I heard that people have started queuing at Funan IT Mall since the night before the launch!

If you want to rush leveling from day 1 onwards, I suggest you login to your battlenet account and download the full version of Diablo 3 NOW. Yes it’s available for download. You can even install the game first before getting your copy. Once the servers open at 3pm Singapore time, it’s time to frag.

Happy Diet, Loving Salsa

I’m really impressed with my own progress in weight loss so far!!! The change in diet was quite difficult initially, but with some determination and help from Aimin’s acupuncture services, I think I’m making a very good progress!

Many people commented that I look slimmer in the short 2 to 3 weeks of acupuncture treatment and diet plan!

Super happy! Another major change in my life is taking up Salsa dancing! It’s actually a very easy social dance to pick up especially if you have any form of dance training prior. I just started my first lesson, so probably another a couple of months more before I will attain my ideal weight (6 more Kgs to go!!!) and dance well in Salsa~!

The only criticism I have of it is the product placements a bit obvious… haha… Especially the F&N drink part it’s not so smoothly integrated into the video. Other than that, I think it’s an awesome song and video.

I met Nat Ho at the Nuffnang Birthday bash recently and he looks really good in that platinum blond hair cut in person as well… Damn shuai!

Embarking on Acupuncture Slimming Journey…

I was a little skeptical about going for acupuncture slimming when I first heard about it. It wasn’t so bad for me as I have visited some Chinese senseis for acupuncture previously, and it’s honestly not that painful an ordeal. So I decided to give Aimin Accupunture Weight Loss Centre a try. Aimin Acupuncture was established in 2001, and they have been awarded “Best Weight Loss” by Guinness Book of Records, sounds quite credible. They are currently having this promotion and you can just call them to make an appointment for a free acupuncture trial (Call 6225 2321/6346 5595 for appointment). That’s great for people who haven’t tried acupuncture before, so you will get a feel of how the treatment will be like and whether if you are comfortable with it before considering joining their weight loss program.

For those of you who have no idea what accupuncture is, or have not tried it before… Basically, they will take some needles and very swiftly stick them on your body. The “sticking of needles” takes less than 30 secs as these are all professional Chinese doctors. During the half hour treatment, some areas of your body *MAY* feel a bit sore or numb at first, but it will eventually fade off after you relax your body. So when you are going for accupuncture, please remember not to tense your body, or else it will be painful!! If you are totally relaxed, and you don’t move your body for the duration of the treatment, you shouldn’t feel any pain at all.

The acupuncture will help you to suppress appetite and stimulates metabolic rate so you won’t feel so hungry through out the day. It also helps to regulate your hormones and digestive functions, and improve weight related conditions such as high blood pressure etc. The good thing about acupuncture is that there are no side effects and no medication, no pills or surgery are involved to help you lose weight! They will also give you a diet plan to follow, which is made easier to follow when you go for your acupuncture treatments regularly. There was also a short medical assessment which involved a urine test, blood pressure test, and some medical history.

So for their typical package, you will receive 30 treatments of acupuncture and 30 treatments of massage over a period of 5 to 6 months. I have just completed my initial acupuncture treatment which consists of 3 consecutive days of acupuncture. After which, I will be going through a 2 times a week treatment until I reach my desired weight loss (of about 8kgs!) over 2.5 months. During the maintenance stage of another 2.5 months, one treatment per week and there will be slight adjustment to your diet plan. The tui na slimming massage will only kick in when I lose a few Kgs, which will help toning and firming of the flabby areas. I will blog more about the tui na slimming massage after I lose a few Kgs ok!

The Avenger is FINALLY coming to Singapore screens!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 I’ve been watching their trailers since last year and it really gives me goosebumps! With so many superheroes all gathered in a screen, this is so gonna be a party you wouldn’t want to miss!

I think I’m most familiar with Iron Man’s character and thank goodness they managed to get back Robert Downey Jr. to act the role! If they had gotten someone else to play Iron Man, I’m sure it wouldn’t be as awesome!
