Chinese New Year falls on the 10th Febuary 2013 which is the coming Sunday!! In Singapore we have Monday and Tuesday public holiday this year as well I hope everyone has bought their Chinese New Year clothes! It’s a tradition to celebrate the new year by throwing away old things, spring cleaning, and buying lots of new things in preparation of the new year! In other words, Chinese New Year is a really good excuse to go shopping without feeling much guilt ;D
I was really glad when 1214alley.com dropped off some really nice pieces of apparels just last week – just in time! I blogged about how it’s difficult for UK size 10 to 14 find clothes online and majority of the blog shops cater to smaller UK 6 to 8 sizes or plus size ones. So when I heard there’s a new online boutique in town catering to medium – large sizes from UK 12 to 14 I was really excited!!! Their clothes are generally more body hugging but stretchy material so it accentuates the curves well and they look flattering for slight meatier girls. My prayers have been answered There are many women our size that feel left out because clothes available online are always a little bit too tight or a little too loose. Finally an online shop just for us 1214alley.com apparels are also affordable – in the range of SG$30+ featuring their mostly self-manufactured pieces ranging from casual to work clothes.
My favorite piece has got to be this red and black dress that is so flattering!!! The red material isn’t too bright as it’s covered by a layer of lace material. Definitely a sleek party dress that I can wear to work and dinner. I wore this dress to www.in988.com studio for filming and I received a couple of compliments even Unfortunately my camera couldn’t capture the red-black mesh when taken from afar
This forest green Marcille Peplum dress is also really flexible to wear, it looks really classy and elegant
Thanks to my wonderful photographer Sab helping me with the pictures at her office
