I’m Priscilla. I’m Singaporean. I’m easily intrigued. I’m always curious. I think I’m funny.
Like my new skin? I’ve always liked a simplistic, pretty, poetic design for my blog. The previous skin was a simple skin named “minimal” from wpthemeshop.com. Yeah, it was simple, but it wasn’t customized for my own blog.

The Design
The flower on the banner, is one I photographed a few years ago at Sentosa. I photoshopped it a little, added some pretty brush effect and added in the words… and… wala! Nice, customized, new, pretty blog skin! Of course, I had to re-code the CSS coding from the previous skin, but the base template’s credits still go to wpthemeshop.com (I did not remove the credit from the codes)
The Words
Well, many have asked me why am I deadpris. My previous alias used to be deadrose. When I was still an angsty teenager, I ran into lots of relationship problems. Deadrose – rose signifies love/romance. If a rose is dead, you can’t kill it anymore? Whenever I received roses over the years, I would hang it upside down and let it die. Dried roses, bloody red, are very beautiful. And they stay that way for a very long time. Letting such a beautiful flower live, it can only last for a few days before it withers and die an ugly death.
In a similar way, deadpris, if already accepted her fate as being dead someday, can no longer be killed again.
I am, then, an immortal being? Haha. I cannot be killed spiritually, mentally, because I’ve already made peace with the knowledge that our lives are transient and limited and beautiful. It’s still sad when someone dies, parting is a very sad affair, that’s why we have to cherish everyone around us while they are still here!
The Site
Deadpris.com represents my philosophy of living.
No, I’m not diagnosed with any terminal illnesses. I am destined to die, sooner or later, just like everyone else.
Perhaps some people find the topic of death very taboo, very disturbing. I find death very intriguing. It is because our lives have an expiry date, that we remind ourselves to lead a better life. I am obsessed with death, because I believe death defines life.
Some people care too much about what they do with their lives – everything must be perfect; the perfect grades, perfect job, perfect pay cheque, perfect everything. Some, just don’t care what they do to their lives and just waste it away. One should always find a good balance, and just be satisfied with their lives. Lead a happy life! You never know when you expire.
We are all essentially walking, talking, living dead people. So treasure every minute and be thankful for it.
Life of a dying girl – Is the life of Priscilla, a girl that will someday die.

I really liked your brief on the church thing. And the background and flower are gorgeous. Simple and deep. And if that’s you in the profile picture, go on, break a few hearts. Good blog though, that was my point. P.s. I live in Kenya, there’s no escaping conversation about death, it’s everywhere.
