I doubted Ris Low’s claim that it was her bipolar disorder that caused her to steal credit cards. However, after reading her interview with RazerTV, I was somewhat less skeptical about her condition. It’s sad that RIs Low decides to stand down from her crown, and it’s sadder that the public don’t support her. Whatever happened to Yellow Ribbon and empathizing with the mentally ill? Isn’t that the government’s stand on both issues, to give them another chance? Must Miss World Singapore be a “perfect” human being?

Speaking to Channel NewsAsia in an exclusive interview, Ms Low said her actions were the result of her bipolar disorder.
The beauty queen gave up her crown last month after it was revealed that she was convicted of credit card fraud.
If we want someone to represent Singapore, wouldn’t it be representative of Singaporeans to support the person who is going instead of showing the world how “ugly” we are? Singapore has represented itself today, not Ris Low, that we are a bunch of unforgiving and cruel hypocrites that can’t accept people for who they are. Many people, people around you and me, suffers from mental disorders. If you don’t agree to that sentence, then those people were probably too ashamed to tell you of it since you’re such an unforgiving asswipe.
Her bipolar and criminal behavior aside, I have to agree though that her English was atrocious. In my opinion, Ris Low looks like just another pretty faced ahlian and Pilar Arland definitely looks more sophisticated and classy. Pilar Arland came in second runner-up and she will be representing Singapore instead. Just remember though, Pilar Arland is not perfect as well. Well, simply because no one is.

This may be a bit late but… I’m surprised no one has made any reply to this. She was stripped of her crown not because she was involved in credit card fraud but for the fact that she hid this from the organisers and sponsors. If she had been forthright about it from the start she might have stood a chance, and if the organisers didn’twant to let her in after knowing the truth, then you can go on about your cause for the yellow ribbon and unforgiving asswipes here blah blah.
I do agree her English is worse than atrocious. She should have been stripped of her title for that fact alone. Bengz!
