Those who know me for years, know that I’ve always have had a weight/size issue. Even at my peak of my schooling days activities, I’ve always had a problem with The Bulge. I have tried to be on diets, eating healthy and exercise in the past, but even if I got a little thinner, my tummy doesn’t seem to want to disappear!
A couple of years ago, I signed up for a slimming program with my friend, it cost a few hundred dollars. They wrapped me up in some hot blanket and massaged oil on me. After a few sessions, there were no significant changes be it in my weight or size. I was freaking disappointed! I was still a student then and a few hundred dollars was alot to invest in, especially into something that didn’t show any results! I concluded that all slimming centers were hoax.
Last week, I got the chance to visit Cenosis, one of the leading slimming centers in Singapore, for a short tour. It was quite exciting because I got to meet Xiaxue there! I’ve seen her on other blogging events, but this is the first time talking to her in person, and she left me with a better impression that I had expected. She was witty, interesting and nice
We were shown around the slimming center and listened to a group of professionals talk about the difference between Cenosis and other slimming centers in Singapore.

It came as a shock to us, when we were shown evidence of how other slimming centers in Singapore actually use misleading labels and bombastic tech jargon to lead the public into believing in what they are selling. One article even gave the description of Cenosis’s latest machine technology called Cavitation, but it was obviously a misleading advertisement since you need a N2 license from NEA to own that machine and it can only be operated by doctors and physiotherapists. Since Cenosis is confident to be the only slimming centre to have that license, besides other aesthetic clinics in Singapore, then how can these other slimming companies advertise about something they don’t have? Apparently, since there is no board of governance in Singapore for the slimming industry, many slimming centers use misleading advertisement to trick consumers into buying packages for inferior treatment and services.
I was given the opportunity to test out the Cavitation machine for about 40minutes on my tummy area and the results could be seen almost immediately! After measurement, I lost roughly 3cm around my stomach area within 40minutes. Wow.

How the Cavitation works?

Why the Cenosis people are so proud of owning this machine, is because other inferior machines are not able to penetrate into the fat cells area and Cenosis is the first and only slimming centre to own this medical machine.
I laid on the bed for about 40minutes, while a certified physiotherapist used the Cavitation on me, and through out, there was no pain or discomfort. However, there was this loud buzzing sound that came from within my body. I asked the ladies if they could hear the buzzing sound as loud as I did, but apparently I was the only one who could hear it that loud since the machine was passing it through my body. It was really weird.

The ladies servicing me were very polite, and the ambiance of the entire place was very cozy. You could even bring your own CD and play in your assigned room. We were shown to the steam bath, jacuzzi and sauna rooms, where their customers can relax and enjoy the whole spa experience.

Lastly, we were offered a healthy meal cooked by the resident nutritionist! It was so shocking to see a little kitchen and dining area inside a slimming center!
What’s for dinner?

The juice was a blend of honeydew and plum, freshly blended with all the fiber still intact. Dinner was briyani rice with fish curry and vegetables. I LOVE healthy food. Seriously. I love without skin, without fat, without complicated sauces in them. I suspect I ate the most during the dinner, probably cause I’m the most greedy there too =x
I’m really looking forward to the tour of Cenosis’s Glass House Challenge 2009 that would be held in Suntec Gallreia Square (Outside City Link Exit) between the 17th July to 11th August 2009. They will be having some contestants living and displaying their weight loss process in a glass house! One of Nuffnang’s blogger Winnie will be taking part in the challenge too, so stay tuned to see how she loses weight!
