on Jul 7th, 2009Money Not Enough!

Just read an article on Singapore being ranked 10th in the world as one of the most expensive cities to live in. I think why we’re an expensive city to live in is mostly due to the prices of the housing and cars in Singapore. The inflation of Singapore dollar keeps going up every year, whereas our pay remains stagnant. What this means is, we have been earning the same amount of money (for any particular job) but our living expenses just keep rising. How are we going to survive at this rate? :(

Even though I’m still a student, I’m feeling the pinch from the increase in food prices, transportation fares, and general goods and services. Especially during this economic crisis, people are losing their livelihood and settling for lower paying jobs, but prices of daily necessities does not seem to be lowering. I guess we can only do what we’re best at: whine, complain and blog about it. -shrugs-
