on Apr 28th, 2009Blogger Race on the SingTel F1 Simulators
Wow. I was invited to the Singtel F-1 bloggers event last week and had the chance to sit in the F-1 simulator!

It was a CRAZY ride! The steering was very difficult to control and we had only one practice round before the real lap began. I was really nervous as I sat in the oversize chair, grabbing the steering wheels with my life and stepped on the pedals to start its engine.

The F-1 race car goes up to 7th gear, but the fastest I could go without crashing into anything was the 4th gear! Knocking into any barriers or railings was definitely a bad idea, as the simulator would shake so vigorously, bumping my head “left right up down”! Don’t ask what my timing was, I was definitely one of the lousier drivers in the room!
We had the chance to try on the F-1 jumper suit as well, it was so stuffy and hot and I was perspiring underneath it! Sheylara looks really hot in the suit though, doesn’t she!

The whole F-1 experience was definitely an eye-opener for me. We only get to see the super sonic speed of the race cars zooming by, the cool victory trophy and women and booze after the race. But what goes behind all those fame and glory, is actually stuffy hot suit, life endangering vehicle, and a whole lot of dedicated training.

F-1 night race would be held in Singapore again this year, and the tickets are already available on sale now. So don’t wait, get your tickets ASAP!
