I’m not sure if these emails are legit. If they are, my suspicions of them being bigots are not unfounded.

If these emails are real, then essentially these bunch of bigots sole aim of taking over AWARE is to push for anti-gay agendas. How about woman’s rights and equality and fairness and justice? You keep saying that the old AWARE is pro-gay, just because they don’t preach that being gay is a sin? We’re all God’s creation, but yet you want to give equality to *some* people and not all. Bullshit.

Please see Attachments on some recent developments in Aware. Aware is a woman’s organization which conducts comprehensive sexual programmes for girls and it runs this programme in some of the schools. They encourage girls to express their full sexuality and this includes experimenting with other girls. It would be a good idea to join it and change its focus to other problems of women and families.
..Please ask your like-minded friends to join Aware so that you can give the vote to those who wish to be an agent of change for the Lord. They could also contribute to the activities of the oprganization as there is much to be done for women and families in this dowturn of the economy. Unfortunately, I cannot surface but shall be assisting in the background . I attach the Aware membership application form for your use. The Aware application form has a section as to who ( if any) told you about Aware. You can just leave it blank . Our nation needs your support and action very urgently!
AWARE is an organization that has existed in Singapore for many years.
It is a non-profit body dedicated to women’s advocacy and gender equality.
They protect women’s rights and help develop women to their fullest potential.
In the last few years, AWARE has aggressively become involved in gay
activism. Many members of their committee are pro-gay. They have even
conducted a sexual education programme in some schools that teach
young people that it is normal and alright to behave homosexually. They
have also screened a lesbian-themed movie Spider Lilies at a Charity Ball.
During this week, AWARE held an election of office bearers. This event saw
many of the pro-gay old guards losing their positions in the committee to new
faces. These new people do not share the values of the pro-gay old guards
and has caused much shock and rage to the latter group.
The pro-gay old guards are retaliating by calling for an Extraordinary General
Meeting where they intend to amend the Constitution to only allow members
who have been with AWARE for more than 2 years, to vote. If this change is
passed, then only the pro-gay old guards and their cohorts will have the
power to do what they want.
To prevent this from happening, we are calling on all responsible females
to sign up for membership with AWARE immediately, and also to attend this
all-important EGM so as to vote against changing the Constitution.
If you are male and have received this petition, please pass it to as many
responsible females as you know and encourage them to sign up for
membership with AWARE so as to vote against any changes to their
Constitution.
The date for the EGM has yet to be announced but it should be soon.
Membership fees are $40 for adult females and $5 for female fulltime students below
the age of 25. Please print the attached softcopy of the membership form,
fill in the details (no need to tell who referred you), mail the form with your cheque.
Singapore is counting on you. Please respond.

Read the Bible – all of Christianity’s punishments are against MALE HOMOSEXUALS and in fact most of the punishments were against men. For the old AWARE to push for a pro-’gay’ (stop stealing the word happy alright) agenda, is just as bad as this political coup by conservative elements.
Let me put this straight off to you – whatever happening at AWARE is nothing more than a political struggle. Now all of you pro LGBT people can get off your high horses and stuff it.
Personally speaking, I’ll suggest pushing for the repeal of the entire Section 377 – make even animal sex, corpse sex etc legal. To only fight for a small portion of repeal is nothing short of hypocrisy.
Did the old AWARE actually push for pro-gay agendas? By not frowning upon homosexuals, they’re by default pro-homosexuals? Like that not fair mah…

The Church Wants To Over AWARE
It is clear the church wants to make use of religion to take over AWARE. This is not an internal conflict among the members. There is infiltration by the church members. The church is interfering in the internal affairs of a secular organization. This is going to cause a religious conflict. The government must do something to prevent the conflict.

Believe it not the civilized world including Singapore is in the midst of its most dangerous Culture War. This Culture War could virtually destroy Singapore and other sovereign states as a nation without any military action from a foreign nation or a terrorist group. However, the actual cost in lives and money could very well surpass all the wars that the world has fought in the 20th century. In fact, based on the outcome of this war. But, why is the current Culture War so much different than other Culture Wars that the world has faced over the past hundred years?
A Culture War involves an on going debate on social issues between conservatives who advocate a traditional value system and liberals who advocate a progressive value system. Conservatives base their belief system on the tenets of Judeo-Christian heritage, which are contained in the pages of the Bible. On the other side of the Culture War, liberals/social progressives base their belief system on the post-modern ideologies of secular humanists (Darwin, Marx), which represents rebellion against God.
Chapter 3 of Proverbs has it right:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Those are deadly words to those who assert that they have no need of God. Those are words of life to those who have learned differently.
Keep in mind, that “If God is dead, everything is permitted.”
