I’ve never been Hillary fan, not when she was a cute little princess, not when she’s a prostitute slut. I’m sorry if I use such strong words on her, but with her latest music video “Reach Out and Touch Me”, I’m thinking “For how much?”
Yeah, it’s not fair to target her because people like Britney Spears and many other female artists have to keep a certain “image” to continue being hot in the industry. Hilary Duff looks like a prostitute on crack in the video, and she’s definitely not setting a good example to other young girls out there. Look, I get that we can’t totally penalise her for the lyrics, but how about the music video??
The whole song is about sex. Not just sex, but a woman yearning for sex, asking and begging for sex. To be honest, I also feel quite disturbed by the number of popular songs written about sex. Not sex in a traditional loving affair, but sex as a wild and crazy activity one performs on impulse. I’m sure that mirrors quite accurately what sex is in this millennium, but to actually sing them out loud… shouldn’t we hold it back a little? Like how movies are powerful tools that possibly impart wrong information or unsuitable truths of life (like sex and death) to kids, and we make them safer by restricting viewership by age. How about songs? It’s difficult to impose songs about having sex, breasts, virginas, cocks and those with extreme vulgarities should only be played after 10pm?
I guess, I just don’t like Hilary Duff’s new video, and it makes her look cheap and sad -_-. I’ve had horny times, but I don’t think I look as desperate as her *hopefully*
