As you guys might know, my friend of many years, Sabrina,is currently working for Gadget3.com
One of the perks of being a bummer now, I’ve got nothing better to do! Sab wants me to be her slave, and since I get free ride home and freebies everywhere I go, I took on the challenge!
Some perks of being a “Friend of Media” includes:
1. Preview of latest products
Farcry 2 – I’m not a big fan of RPG on battlefield. The map was gigantic and I kept forgetting where I parked my car! Bummer!
Resistance 2 - I played Co-op mode with Brian of Oglivy and we rocked as a team in this FPS. When I say ‘we rocked’ I mean he kept dying while I was hiding behind him. Then I would sneak up and try to revive him so that we both can move on in the game.
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - We had a mini tournament and the winner got a T-shirt! I’m not sure if this game is already released in Singapore yet, but I’m sure many Streetfighter fans are dying to play it. As there were many geeks present, I had zero chance of winning. I could barely remember the control for shooting Hadouken, and it was pretty difficult to play with the mini joystick as compared to the arcade joystick. Ok, obviously I’m not much of a fighting game genre person.
2. Get to interact with people with insight
At the Oglivy organized Playstation 3 event, I met writers from Playworks, GameAxis, Playuer and a couple of others I’m not too sure. Everyone there were geeks. I’m ashamed to want to classify myself as one of them, because I don’t feel geeky enough in their presence 
GEEKS ROCKS OK! Great, now I sound like a groupie.
But it’s definitely very different hanging out with media people as compared to bloggers. Bloggers are average people like you and me, media are required by their jobs to be geeks. I wish I got a geeky job too, like testing out games or writing anime reviews.

3. Freebies!
As I’m the ONLY blogger (non-media) person there, I didn’t expect to receive a goodie bag too! The goodie bag came wih Playworks magazine, T3 magazine, some vouchers and stuff. Derek hijacked some contents from my goodie bag
