Is looking good everything?

Everyone wants to look beautiful, to get some sense of self esteem, self worth, peers approval etc. But what if the price to pay is too steep?

Even I have recently considered going for liposuction for my tummy area, which at my fittest prime, was still a little bulge and it has now manifest into a little monster of its own. I often wonder would my life be better if I had a flat stomach, for once in my life. I’ve not decided to go through with it yet.

Recently, my close friend’s sister was diagnosed with cancer. We suspect her anorexic behavior the last few months have something to do with it, since the time line fits. She’s only 18 years old. She’s too young. I’m sure when she decided to go on a diet and stop eating, she never would have imagine the repercussions. Although there are some debates between me and some other friends, whether the anorexia caused cancer or the cancer caused her to be anorexic, it doesn’t really matter now does it?

Life is too short, people. Perhaps too short to go think about looking good.

On a lighter note, I just spent $200+ on my new hair style. I guess health > beauty > money ? heh
