Since I’m officially going to become a bummer from November 18 onwards, I thought I should learn a new skill to curb my boredom that follows after… I’ve manged to learn how to code wordpress from scratch!
Yes, I have learnt the basics of wordpress coding and styling it in CSS within 2 days! I’m so proud of myself, of course with the help of good tutorial I found at http://www.wpdesigner.com which explains every single line of wordpress PHP code for newbies like me.
I’ve also decided to make my first wordpress theme The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi ! Haruhi is one of the most eccentric, cute, funny anime in recent years. I’m rather pleased with the header so far, but I think there are still things to plan out, like the borders and website layout.
Soon, you’ll see my blog littered with cute and free wordpress themes (hopefully) and perhaps a little ‘Donate’ button to help sustain the poor student’s cost of living.
I’ve also finally upgraded this website’s wordpress to 2.6.3 – which is totally long overdue!
Editing bits and pieces of codes is very simple, but I really dread coding my new wordpress blog templates from scratch. Sigh! I guess I’ll just continue next week on this pet project
