Streetdirectory recently lost their lawsuit with LTA and had to pull their website down. But it’s coming back up today!!

Could someone be so kind as to post the link to the news article that explains why they got sued?

I guess to keep it civil and simple.

LTA, please don’t disrupt Streetdirectory.com service again, it’s really very inconvenient for us to search for directions. I bet many Singaporeans got lost and taxi drivers have been making more money in the past week because of this disruption. Yes, I took a taxi to Orchard Hotel this morning because I could not find the directions for a bus from Toa Payoh to Orchard Hotel for my family lunch (lunch was good by the way).

Streetdirectory.com , c’mon! You’re making tons of money, as we can imagine, selling advertisement space in your site! Why do you have to sue local companies of stealing your images? Making them pay thousands of dollars to show direction to their location?! You obviously deserved to get sued, and you should have seen it coming.

Bleh.

Just get on with life, give us back street directions so we won’t be lost sheeps anymore, but stop sueing people for said instructions ok?

Ok, now that everyone is happy…. GIVE ME MY DIRECTIONS BACK!!!

Dear Beloved Users
Streetdirectory.com services will be back online on Monday, 14 April 2008.

My mother is really cute.

She should not be allowed to have access to emails because she’s really cute.

My mother insist that I do not use any products from The Body Shop because they do not practice animal testing.

Yes.

I’m dead serious.

My mother READ AN EMAIL telling her and god knows how many other gullible people that products that do not test on animals first are dangerous and harmful to our body.

She read this email 4 years ago, and till this date, she still believes that we have to test on animals first (by injecting poisonous chemicals into cute little rabbits eyes) before it’s safe to use on our skin.

A few years back, she also deleted a file from my Windows folder, probably some java file in System32 folder. Because, well, the hoax email told her if she found this file in the computer, it is a virus. It WASN’T a virus. But my mother deleted the virus anyway and forward that email to many of her friends. Who knows how many people deleted files from their systems because of my cute mother.

I love you mom, silly cute gullible mother :)

Brilliant nocturne made a little cute cat speech box and asked me to test it out.

It’s pretty funky, though I’d much prefer having a colourful cat :)

Speaking of cats, I don’t know why quite a few of my female colleagues are afraid of cats! They’re just harmless little fur balls (or they spit them)!

There’s this really cute and somewhat bashful intern at my office and we all love him to bits~

Kathleen, another of my colleague, reminded me yesterday that it was going to be April FoOooLS! *grin* We all knew what this meant… surprises for our Intern!

I won’t disclose his name here since I’m going dilvulge evil details on our April Fool’s jokes!

Prank 1

We wrote his name down on our daily notice for teachers that are on leave or on sick leave for a class at 8.15am! We had to photocopy a blank piece of daily notice and all of us (including my manager) wrote comments on it to make it look authentic. Intern only comes in at 10am, so imagine the shock he got when he saw his name on the daily notice for cover teachers! He frantically SMS-ed Kathleen (but she ignored him!) and called my handphone to ask me what’s going on! I just acted blur and confused and told him to ask Kathleen when she arrives at work.

Sensing something was wrong, he called Kathleen and demanded to know why his name was there! He even asked a few teachers if anyone actually took the 8.15am class and… well I guess he figured it out and Kathleen had no excuses… so Kat told him it was our April Fool’s prank~

SUCCESS!

Oh… but that’s not it.

Prank 2

On Monday, I found a teacher that was willing to collaborate with us on this prank. I emailed our dear Intern this:

Omg, die die… <Teacher’s name> stormed into the office and demanded to speak to you. She was quite furious and asked if you SMS her on Friday or Saturday. I’m not sure about the details but you should speak to Kathleen about it. But don’t worry so much ok?

Thanks,

Pris

LOL! I can just imagine him panicing, thinking about his actions and SMS to that teacher! When he asked me and Kathleen this morning, we told him that we don’t really know why the teacher was pissed at him and that she’s still looking for him.

During lunch, we told Intern to approach this teacher and said she really wanted to talk to him. Another of my manager, whom was collaborating with us, also asked him what was going on with him and the teacher! His face was kind of red and he was a little nervous and puzzled. Finally, when he approached the teacher, she actually gave him a stern scolding (I’m not sure what about even!) and he just kept apologising. Omg, he’s so cute! LOL

At the end of the scolding, I asked the teacher “so, don’t we all have something to tell <Intern’s name>?”. Teacher replied… “Yes, we do. One… Two… Three…”

HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S !!!!!

I should have taken some pictures of him laughing and blushing! His face was so red!

SUCCESS!

It was such a blasted April Fool’s day at the office. It’s my first elaborate April Fool’s prank that I have successfully played on someone~
